Dear Yuletide Writer:

Hello, Yuletide Writer! I'm really happy that we've matched on any of my fandoms, because I love them all and would love to see more fic in any of them:) I'm really happy that I'm able to participate in Yuletide again this year and I'm sure I'll love anything you choose to write for me and I hope you'll enjoy writing it :) I apologize for the length of this letter - feel free to skip whatever doesn't interest you!

General Likes: I love het, gen, and slash. I am of age and would also love porn :) (I suck at porn prompts, but I do love first times, learning about sex together, cuddling after sex, celebratory sex.) I love humor, romance, stories that explore sides of a character that haven't been dwelled on before, and slice-of-life things :)

I have a weakness for a lot of tropes including against all odds, all the firsts (of a relationship or a friendship), arranged marriages that work out, coming of age, drunken confessions, earn your happy endings, embracing imperfections, finding home, happy endings, holiday fics, love letters, maybe ever afters, pretend couples become real, secret identities, strong friendships, unexpected love, unrequited pining that is eventually requited, and UST that eventually gets resolved. I do like most AUs (ex. Victorian, modern, crossover AUs - for this, feel free to ask in the comments/the mods if I know the fandoms, detective AUs, different era AUs, fairytale AUs, mafia AU, medical AUs) :) I also like canon divergent AUs :) I love using different methods to tell a story (letters, emails, diaries, what have you). I also love missing scenes, pre-canon, and post-canon stories :) I also like '5 Things' Stories :) I would love to receive interactive fiction for any of my fandoms :)

Examples of H/C tropes I love: accepting injury to protect someone else, amnesia, atonement, illnesses, comfort food/item, cuddling, disappearing, falls from grace, forced to face fear, hospital stays, hugs, learning to be loved, mistaken identity, being on the run, sacrifices, scars, taking care of someone, trapped together, trust issues

General Dislikes: explicit underage sex, bad medicine/science (unless related to canon or plot point). Would rather not have rape/non-con unless needed for plot (and please not explicit), incest, scat, graphic violence, bodily fluid play, genderswap AU, A/B/O, bestiality nor mpreg please. I would prefer to not have any sex worker AUs/any of the characters getting a venereal disease/character death (of any of my requested characters).

I would love to receive anything for any of my requested fandoms - there are more prompts for two of them (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun and Gokusen) because I've requested any character for those two fandoms and racked my brain for prompts for all/each of them/any combination I could think of. :) They are ordered alphabetically and not in any order of preference :)

Warnings for spoilers for the fandoms I've chosen in this letter - I'm caught up with all of them (in all incarnations except Liar Game since I haven't seen the live action) and plan to keep up with them until Yuletide (applicable to Liar Game, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun), so feel free to use whatever may come up (or twist such as wanted) :) I've mentioned shippings (some with non-nominated characters) for completion's sake but I would be really happy with anything with my nominated characters :)

Remember that optional details are optional so please just ignore what's written below if you've had your own (surely) awesome ideas for any of the fandoms I've chosen!

Anne of Green Gables
Una Meredith

I've loved this series ever since I was a child (and I still reread the books every so often) and especially love quiet, gentle Una Meredith.

I'd love to read anything about Una, post-Rilla of Ingleside, anything within Rainbow Valley to Rilla of Ingleside or even before the Merediths came to Rainbow Valley. I've always loved her quiet strength, how even when she isn't as vocal as Faith or Rilla she still has a strength that is unshakable. Does she go to college (and what does she take up there)? Essentially, what does she do after the war? I could see Una becoming a nurse or something that deals with other people, or maybe she becomes something unexpected (maybe a journalist/writer who travels?). Does she ever marry? (And if she does, is it someone from her childhood or someone new?) I'd basically love a happy ending for her (even if it will take a long time and a lot of work), she deserves it :) (But I can understand if you take the realistic route.) How did she really fall in love with Walter? (Was there any precipitating event? When did she know she was in love with him?) Any interactions with any of the Blythes post-War?

And if you'd like to write an AU where Walter doesn't die and she finds out (and how the news makes an impact on her), please do (whether you ship her with Walter or not)! :) I do ship her with Walter, Shirley, and Rilla (the latter because Rilla has seen her at her best and at her worst and probably knows her best) but there's no pressure to include shipping! I just really want more fic for Una (even shipping her with someone we haven't met yet!). Just in case, here are some shipping prompts I could think of...

Rilla/Una: The darkest prompt I can think of - Ken doesn't come back (death or love ended) and Rilla and Una get closer in University (and Una and she grow together). Lighter prompts: moments with the Junior Reds, moments in Rainbow Valley, maybe (after some time) talking about Walter and learning to let go.

Shirley/Una: The war has changed both of them; they hardly recognize each other but they have to help each other get better. Moments before the war, or maybe Shirley talks to Una before he leaves for it? Maybe her brother asks him to take care of her after the war for him because of certain circumstances? Growing up together?

Walter/Una: He doesn't die (maybe just missing, or there was a mistake somewhere) and she is able to meet him again! What does Walter say to Una in his letters to her during the war? (And what does she say to him?) Little moments in Rainbow Valley between them or chance encounters pre-War. What if Una had told him of her feelings before he left/during the war? Would anything have changed?

I have read all the Anne of Green Gables books (though Una really appears only in Rainbow Valley and Rilla of Ingleside). :)

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Mamiko, Suzuki Saburou, Hori Masayuki, Kashima Yuu, Mikoshiba Mikoto, Nozaki Mayu, Nozaki Umetarou, Sakura Chiyo, Seo Yuzuki, Wakamatsu Hirotaka

I really, really love this manga/anime for its humor, lovable cast of characters and its meta-ness :) I love everyone in this crazy meta anime/manga and would love anything about any of the nominated characters or any combination of such! AUs in this series? Bring it on :))

I would love anything about any of the nominated characters!
Hori: Will Hori go into acting/directing post-canon? (He still has some years to grow some more!) (Or be hired by Nozaki to do his backgrounds forever.) Will we get to see him act again, or is he always going to be the director of the drama club plays? Why does he use cats/briefs to mark things for beta? (What was going through his head with the briefs, seriously?)

Kashima: Will she go into acting (or something else entirely) after high school (and playing male or female roles, if ever)? Will all her cheesy lines get her in trouble one day? Is there a time that Kashima is asked to play a girl in a play (or actually any role that isn't the prince/hero)? How does that go?

Mamiko: I was always intrigued by some of the panels shown that seemed incongruous to what we know of Mamiko (or Mikorin's personality), like in Chapter 15 (the undefeatable Mamiko) and Chapter 54 (the chapter Nozaki, Kashima, and Hori go on a test of courage around the school and Mamiko decides to find a better man to love). We don't really know much about her other than she's based on Mikorin's personality and in love with Suzuki, so I'd love anything about her (who she is, what she likes, and her motivations other than Suzuki).

Mayu: Will he ever tell his brother abut his secret mad ecchi drawing skills (all for judo)? (And seriously, what will Mayu end up doing? Maybe a model? ^^;) More of Mayu's Judo Captain escapades! (What does happen with the teacher getting reports of indecent scrawlings in the Judo club? Can Mayu now make a career out of making Judo instruction manuals?)

Mikorin: How did Mikorin and Nozaki really meet? And why is Mikorin so good with the detailing of flowers? (And how did Nozaki find out about it? There is probably a great Nozaki story where Mikorin is embarrassed by his skills but Nozaki just drags him to his house and makes him draw the flowers like he did to Sakura ^^;) What happens when Mikorin really can't escape a Goukon? (Will he drag someone to suffer with him? Nozaki? Sakura? Kashima?)

Nozaki: His next work (and what would be his inspiration? And would Mikorin still be his default heroine?)? His continuing struggle with backgrounds? What if his worst fear comes true and Maeno becomes his editor again? (Will he really follow Ken-san to a different magazine/division? And what kind of plot would he have to make if he does change divisions?) What if Nozaki and Miyako-san (or any other manga artist) have to do a crossover? (Mamiko and Suzuki with... Tanuki.)

Sakura: Her future plans? (Will she go to art school? She really draws well!) For me, Sakura (and Waka) is the most normal of their group (except when it comes to Nozaki), so I'd love stories where she instructs anyone on what should be done (pretty much anyone would benefit).

Seo: I am convinced that Seo is a magnificent troller with her obliviousness, great ego, and her way of connecting with people. (See: Poor Waka.) Any more escapades of her doing things like that would be really welcome! Will she do something related to her amazing voice later on in life? (And will she continue torturing other people with her obliviousness?) Does she decide to tell all the boys who dream of her in one great big event that she is Lorelei? (And laugh at their devastation?)

Suzuki: What are the hidden details about Suzuki that Ken-san wants suppressed by Nozaki (other than his using lots of facial products)? We don't really know much about Suzuki other than he's essentially the perfect guy on the surface - what is he like, other than his feelings for Mamiko? Is he really that perfect? What really did happen in the four-seater bike drama?

Wakamatsu: Does he continue with basketball even with mounting stress levels? (Will his team ever get good enough to beat Seo? Probably never.) Do his teammates try to intervene in his and Seo's confusing relationship? What else has he learned from shoujo manga (and what will he misinterpret again)? More of his secret OOC personality c/o pirate patch and Kashima logic (in Chapter 51)?

I would also love bromance moments between any combination of Nozaki, Mikoshiba, Hori, and Wakamatsu. (Playing Otome/Galge! Another attempted slumber party! Maybe Mayu also comes in?) Girl bonding with Seo, Kashima, and Sakura or any combination of such (making Valentines' choco together? A sleepover? Why did Kashima leave her bra at Seo's house?)? Nozaki brothers bonding (wouldn't Mayu feel awkward reading Nozaki's works? Or would he just not really care because it's too troublesome to feel awkward? Probably the latter)! Manga creation escapades with any combination of Nozaki's manga team (Nozaki, Sakura, Mikorin, Hori-senpai, Wakamatsu)! Any bonding moments between any combination of the characters (going shopping, going on a trip, on a dangerous adventure, a goukon, anything!) Does Nozaki get them to still work for him after high school? Kashima and Mikorin friendship would be lovely too - where Kashima is oblivious but gifted in things Mikorin is not and Mikorin is able to read people but isn't as good/confident as Kashima. Mikorin and Seo rubbing each other the wrong way! Sakura/Nozaki/Mikorin/Hori giving Wakamatsu a reality check regarding how he deals with Seo! I think any combination of any characters would be great! (I think the only people who really haven't interacted much are Seo and Hori, and Mayu with everyone not Nozaki/Sakura/Mikorin. It'd also be interesting to see what would make them meet/what they'd talk about!) Any of the combination getting together years later and what they're up to or celebrating holidays together in the canon timeline (manga team Christmas party deadlines?) :) All the meta comments about shoujo manga and any use of shoujo manga tropes or subversions of are very, very welcome :)

For relationships, I love Hori/Kashima, Hori/Sakura, Mikorin/Sakura, Nozaki/Sakura, Suzuki/Mamiko, and Wakamatsu/Seo. :)

Hori/Kashima: Will Hori ever see Kashima really as a girl? (And not just because she has good taste in coordinating the girl clothes she gave him?) Maybe Kashima will be cast as the princess of a play? Or Hori? Anything about their dealing with their unnamed feelings for each other? (They're so aware and unaware of each other at the same time!) Hori being forced to take more responsibility for Kashima's foibles/lateness! What happens if someone new joins the drama club and either tries to usurp Hori or Kashima's place in the club? Do Kashima's fangirls ever decide to gang up on Hori because of all the kicking/berating he does to her? (And what will Kashima do?) Do they end up getting into acting together?

Hori/Sakura: I like this couple since they seem more balanced somehow and it seems Sakura understands him better than Kashima most of the time - maybe Sakura helps out more with the Drama Club backgrounds (and controlling Kashima from messing things up) and things go from there? Or something while helping Nozaki with his manga? (Maybe Sakura takes lessons on learning how to draw backgrounds from Hori?) Maybe something post-high school, they end up in the same classes and grow closer there?

Mikorin/Sakura: I like this couple since Sakura is so capable of taking care of Mikorin and Mikorin shows her his true self (which he doesn't show to many, many other girls that he throws his charm at). Maybe something about Sakura moving on from her crush on Nozaki and Mikorin being less dense than Nozaki? Maybe Mikorin starts trying his lines exclusively on Sakura and she thinks it's just practice so that he doesn't have such self-regret after saying them to other girls?

Nozaki/Sakura: Maybe anything about Nozaki being less dense! Maybe he then starts pulling moves he's drawn for his manga (and Sakura misunderstanding)? How would Nozaki act when he's in love? If Nozaki's manga starts getting more romantic, could anything have happened between the two? Will Nozaki ever remember how they first met (and Sakura's unintended inspiring of Mamiko's hairstyle)? Does Sakura ever wear the sailor uniform for Nozaki? (Or anything he asks her to 'for research'?)

Suzuki/Mamiko: How would these two finally get together? (Probably something grand and shoujo manga-ish!)What are these weird scenarios of Nozaki leading up to? How does a typical episode of Let's Love go for Mamiko and Suzuki Saburou? (And seriously, how dense can these two be to still not be together considering every panel we see they are in love? =P) And how did the bean throwing episode end (Chapter 7)? How did Suzuki and Mamiko meet? How would Let's Love end?

Wakamatsu/Seo: Will Wakamatsu ever get a clue? Will he ever find out that Seo is Lorelei? Will Seo ever not be so Seo to him? Any more painful not-dates that they go on before they understand? Will Nozaki give advice to Wakamatsu for ideas for his manga? And will Wakamatsu ever stay awake somehow during Seo's singing/humming? Do Seo and Wakamatsu ever find out they are the inspiration for Nozaki's side characters? Does Seo encounter Wakamatsu's OOC personality (from Chapter 51) again and how does she react to a different Waka than she's used to? (And what would the 'awakened' Waka do other than play basketball? Is there a possibility of romance/awkwardness/more confusion?)

And if there's a way to make Mayu/Sakura happen, I'd love to see how. :)) (For Nozaki's shocked face! Will okra make an appearance?)

I have watched the anime and continue to read the manga. :) Feel free to use anime or manga versions of events (for example, the festival story is different in the manga from the anime). :)

Gokusen (Manga)
Kuroda Ryuuichirou, Ooshima Kyoutarou, Yamaguchi Kumiko, Sawada Shin

I love this manga so, so much. I love everything about it and would love anything gen about it about any of the characters or any combination of them. I received a wonderful Madness treat last Yuletide from neveralarch but there really cannot be enough Gokusen fanfiction so I'm asking for it again this Yuletide :)

Kyou: I would love anything about him :) I thought it really sweet how he actually made gratin for Yankumi and taught her to fight and would love any moments of him raising her up to be the woman she is today. Does Kyou ever become head of his own Clan, or does he stay with the Ooedo Family (or does he become head of the Ooedo Family)? I love how he also tries slyly to help Shin along with his feelings for Yankumi and would love Shin and Kyou bonding (maybe he teaches Shin to fight? More advice like the fundoshi? Nights out retrying a toba?) Matchmaking schemes? :)

Ryuuchirou: His struggle to get to the top of the Ooedo clan (how did he get there?) - anything about how he became the man that most every Yakuza in the know respects (even those who hate him). How he dealt with his young daughter growing up, watching her hate what she was born into and yet falling in love with a yakuza, then running off to marry someone else. I felt that he kept a lot of feelings deep inside because he didn't want to trouble his daughter anymore, even though he couldn't understand her. His general approval of Shin also makes me wish for any bonding fic about them (maybe over the crazy things Yankumi gets involved with?)!

Shin: His experiences at Toudai and law school - and how his classmates/teachers react to his plans to become a yakuza lawyer! Shin fixing his relationship slowly with his family even with his choice to become a yakuza lawyer! How will his family deal with his plan to become a Yakuza Lawyer (as he said, his father could eventually probably accept it)?

Yankumi: Yankumi and her new/old students! Or missing scenes during the canon! I'd love to see Yankumi teaching girls! How would girls deal with Yankumi as a teacher? (And would Shirokin be prepared for girl students?) Maybe getting advice from Fujiyama-sensei about being in a romantic relationship? Dealing with Ooedo business while being a teacher (maybe rival yakuza are trying to recruit her students?)?

Kyou/Ryuuichirou/Yankumi (or any combination of and feel free to add Shin): Ooedo Family business, especially about the succession! How did the Ooedo family raise Yankumi? How does the Ooedo Family retain the respect so many other Yakuza have for it? (We see some of it in the manga, but I'd love to see more about the Yakuza and how they interact with other Families - power plays, how they deal with business problems.) Holiday stories in this fandom would be very welcome! (Do the Yakuza celebrate Christmas in private?)

I admit I do ship Shin/Yankumi and would love anything exploring their relationship in the future. :) (When Shin becomes part of the Ooedo Family? When he and Yankumi get married? Growing old together? Going through general Yakuza/school matters together? Any of their actual dates that totally end up in either saving her students or fighting Yakuza?) Well-meaning friends trying to help them with their relationship? (Kyou? Kuma? Noda? Ucchi?) I like how they pretty much treat each other as equals and trust each other in dangerous situations, so I'd love anything about that (shippy or not).

In interest of completion, I have also watched the Live-Action (1 and 2, I've started on the 3rd) and really like it too (though it takes a different turn and there are different plots/characterizations for certain people and Kyo isn't part of the Live Action), so if you are more comfortable using that canon, feel free! (There are a lot of open endings in there too, like the very natural question of what did Shin do after Africa? Will Yankumi ever find a school that won't close down? Do Shin and Yankumi get together? Does Shin ever get one of Yankumi's disastrous-looking but delicious chocolate like she gave her students in Season 2? How will the Ooedo Succession go with Yankumi irreversibly tied to teaching? Will there be any circumstance that Yankumi helps with Ooedo affairs in the Live Action? Ryuuchirou being just bad-ass against any of his enemies that want to hurt Yankumi to get to him? I'd love pre-season 1 fic about Ryuuchirou and Yankumi also, how he raised her.)

Liar Game
Akiyama Shinchi, Kanzaki Nao

I love Liar Game for its long well-thought out arcs, for its humor, for its characters, and for the relationships they have with each other.

I would love post-canon or missing scenes in Liar Game with these two characters. What happens after the final game? How does the final game end? Do they get to find Fukunaga-san after the game ends? What will Nao and Akiyama do after the Liar Game? (Will Akiyama seriously go back to construction? What does he end up doing? Will Nao finish college and start working? What does she end up doing? Will her father recover and be able to live with her?) Do they ever encounter anyone from the Liar Game organization again? There's a lot of potential for darkfic here - what are the aftereffects of the Liar Game on these two (and anyone they know) post-canon? What does it mean to "Win" the Liar Game (as opposed to "Lose")? Will the Liar Game organization go gently into the night or will they just disappear into the shadows? (And what will Nao and Akiyama do about it?)

Full disclosure: I do ship these two together (I think it was at that moment where Akiyama said "You can think of me as Kanzaki Nao's property" ^^;) because I think they balance each other out and support each other really well, though I can understand if they don't really start a relationship within or post-series (because their world is so messed up).

Shippy prompts: Akiyama and Nao visiting his mother's graveyard, or Akiyama and Nao meeting Nao's father? Domestic life after? Just getting together post series, maybe spending the holidays together! Akiyama helping Nao with college assignments? Telling the others they've met in the Liar Game about their relationship? (And probably everyone saying "We know.")

I keep up to date with the manga but I haven't watched the live action series. Feel free to diverge from the manga at any point since it's at a really critical point right now (and probably will be until Yuletide ends). :)

My Heartbeat
Ellen McConnell

I first read this book and still reread this book every few years because I do love it so - I was so happy to find out that someone nominated it for Yuletide! Ellen always resonated with me the most of the three characters nominated which is why I requested her :)

I'd like to hear more about Ellen post-series. How does the rest of her high school life go? (Does she reconcile herself to Chemistry? Does she make peace with Adena and Laurel or find other people to hang out with?) Does she change her art style in any way or find different mediums for her art or how to express herself post-canon? What happens if she meets James again, is it really like what she thinks would happen? (Do they stay together even when they are apart, get back together when they see each other again, or do they decide to just stay friends? Do they keep in touch during the years?) How does she deal with her family? What does she decide to major in? What else does she see, after James has left? (I really loved how he taught her to "see" people.) How will Ellen and Link's relationship change when he leaves for college? I'd really like a happy ending for her :) If she entered a relationship with another person (male or female), how would it go and how would everything she learned in the course of the book affect that relationship?

I do like James/Ellen, but I can see why they might not get back together. Maybe something about how they're in better places right now (so they're better off friends) or maybe something about it being the right time (so they can get back together). Maybe they see each other at Christmas (when they visit family) and get to talk about life, themselves, and each other?

Protector of the Small
Keladry of Mindelan, Raoul of Goldenlake and Malorie's Peak

I love this book series so much and regret that I wasn't able to read this when I was younger. :(( I love the characters, the plot, most everything :)

I really love Raoul and Kel's relationship in Squire and would love more like it during the Scanran war post-Lady Knight (letters? attending his wedding?) or even post-War. I'd like to explore Kel maybe working with Raoul again post series -> maybe he really wants her to take over the Own from him one day? Does Kel get to ride with the Own someday? Would Kel and Raoul hide at balls together? (Maybe with Buri?) Darkfic: maybe political problems with trying to end the war, trying to reconcile the Progressives and the Conservatives, rebuilding Tortall after the losses/damages of the war and its people - if you'd like to run in something in that mien with both of them, please feel free to do so :)

If you'd rather write about just one of them instead of both of them together, I don't mind! Here are some prompts for just one of them:

Kel: I love Kel so much and would love anything about her (her straightforwardness and snarkiness, her fairness and control, her competence, her general getting things done)! How she never gives up and how she's kind to animals/people without judging them. She is my favorite Determinator :)

What does Kel do after the war? Or what else does she do during the war at New Hope? Moments with old friends (like Neal, Merric, Owen?)? (I love her amazing friendship with Neal, her friendship borne out of shame turned eventual grudging respect into friendship that she has with Merric, and her easy friendship with Owen.) Anything happening at New Hope during or after the war? Does Kel get to sponsor a female page someday? Something with her family after the war? Bonding with another Lady Knight or fellow female warriors? Maybe a new adventure with any of her friends or the King's Own (or Alanna)?

Raoul: I loved Raoul even in Song of the Lioness and loved him even more in Protector of the Small. How kind he is to Kel and Alanna, being able to get past the issue of their being female (and making it a non-issue for him), how he supports their choices. (Similarly I love him for giving Lerant a chance when no one else would give him one.) I love how he commands the King's Own well and how fair he is in general (especially with the Queen's Riders when many of the Own have rivalry with them), even with Conservatives, yet how protective he is of people he cares about. How he knows when to step up or step back.

I'd love to hear more about Raoul during Protector of the Small. How did he find out what Kel was up to during her Page years? (My bet is Dom care of Neal's letters, but feel free to explore other options! Maybe Stefan? Alanna? Thayet? Buri?) How did his wedding go (and why during the war of all times ^^;) and was he ribbed by his men for getting hitched during the war (or getting hitched at all)? I'd love to see him as a father - I think he'd be incredibly good at it based on how well he did with Kel. :)

Feel free to add/not add any other characters (nominated or not) as needed :) I love pretty much all the characters in POTS :) Also, while Tamora Pierce has said certain things about both Kel and Raoul (that Kel is still managing New Hope 3 years after the war with Neal, that Raoul and Buri have a child) I don't mind if you want to contradict that.

For interest of completion (though you don't need to read this), I ship Dom/Kel, Merric/Kel, and Raoul/Buri. I like Dom/Kel because of the respect each have for each other and how Kel doesn't let her crush on him stop her from working well with him on the important things, Merric/Kel for how their friendship has changed throughout the series from indifference->hatred->conflicted->loyal->conflicted grudging respect->loyal, and Raoul/Buri for how well they balance each other. If you'd like to write any of these for me, anything with these would be lovely :) (Post-war? Something during the war?)

I have read all of the Tortall series (Song of the Lioness, Protector of the Small, Provost's Dog, Immortals, and Trickster's series) so feel free to use anything you wish from any of these as needed. :)
